Inter school event-story narrating_endangered species

There was once a woman named Riya. She was a forest officer.  Her job was to look after the forest and it's animals. It was important and a very big role. One day a cub called Sherni was born in the same forest Riya was taking care of. Nobody knew that she was strong and a very, very ferocious tiger. Many times animals even bigger than her used to be afraid of her. 

Many years passed. Now, she was a big ferocious tiger. She would not let her prey escape at all and she would hardly ever get bitten or injured by any other animals. She was now also a mother to two cubs. Her role was even bigger now! She had to get food for herself and her cubs, she had to keep them safe and try very hard to protect them along with herself so she could take care of them until they are big enough. 

Now her cubs are five and they are just like their mother! Caring, strong and very, very ferocious. But since people were cutting off trees and and plants the forest did not have a lot of space to stay. So, many times they had to go to the villages, but people were chasing them away! so they did go away. 

Times passed and now Sherni's cubs were 10 years old. Sherni was still very strong but then, one day... A hunter and a very good one with nice aim heard about Sherni and her cubs. He wanted to kill them, but, Riya and her team wanted to save Sherni and her cubs from being killed by the hunter. They made a very nice plan.

The plan was to educate the villagers living in the village to plant more trees so that, the tigers have a home and they will have no need to come in to the village area for food. So, the tiger will have space and the villagers will stay safe. The forest department will then take care of the tiger and keep away the hunter.

Then one day the same hunter came into the forest. That time Riya's team mate Ravi was on watch.  Just them he saw the hunter and shouted saying " Hey! what are you doing with that gun?". Not knowing that Ravi is from the forest department the hunter replied" I am going to kill that tiger near the bush."

The hunter shot Sherni right in front of Ravi's eyes! Ravi ran to Riya saying "Sh..sh...Sherni has b..b..been k..k...killed!" Riya was suprised. Ravi took her to the spot where the hunter was standing. Seeing the dead tiger Riya said " What did you do? You just killed a tiger. Did you even know that tigers are endangered in India! It is our national animal and you are killing it! You will be behind bars for a long time!" The hunter said" Please forgive me! I will never ever do it again! Please don't put me behind bars!" The hunter begged and begged to not put him in prison. But they were angry and sad. They put him in prison for a long, long time.
